Terms of service
Last updated: Apr 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Tamlyn Ltd when you use That Time…. We've kept them short and written them in plain English. If anything's unclear, email support@thattime.org.
1. Who's offering this
That Time… is run by Tamlyn Ltd, a company registered
in England & Wales, company number 9157682,
registered address 12 Casimir Road, London, E5 9NU. “We”
and “us” mean Tamlyn Ltd. “You” means the person
using the service.
2. The service
That Time… is a small app for sharing personal memories with invited friends. By using it, you agree to these terms, the Privacy notice, and the Content policy.
We provide the service as is. We don't guarantee it will always be available or free of bugs. We'll try, because we care, but we can't promise it.
3. Your account
Accounts are passwordless — you sign in via a magic link sent to your email. You're responsible for keeping your email account secure, since anyone with access to it could sign in as you.
One person per account. Don't let other people use your account as if they were you.
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.
4. Your content
You own what you post. The moments, text, and photos you contribute are yours.
To run the service, you grant us the minimum licence we need: permission to store your content, process it (for example, resizing photos), and display it to the people you've chosen to share it with, including by email. This licence lasts while your content is on the service and ends when you remove it or delete your account.
By posting, you confirm that you have the right to share what you post. Don't post other people's photos or writing without their permission, and be considerate about posting photos that identify people who haven't opted in to being on the service.
5. Acceptable use
The full rules are in the Content policy. In short: no illegal content, no harassment, no sharing identifying information about other people without their consent, no spam, no impersonation, no attempts to break or abuse the service.
6. Suspension and termination
We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the Content policy. Where possible we'll tell you what's wrong first and give you a chance to fix it, but for serious breaches (illegal content, safety issues) we may act immediately.
You can stop using the service at any time. Deleting your account removes your contributions and photos. Other people's contributions in moments you were part of stay with them.
7. Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts towards running costs, not a payment for services. They're non-refundable and don't give donors any extra rights over the service or other users.
8. Our liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising out of your use of the service, or for loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited.
If we ever do become liable to you, our total liability is capped at £100.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll email account holders and update the “last updated” date at the top. If you keep using the service after a change, that means you accept it. If you don't accept it, delete your account.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes will be decided by the courts of England & Wales.
