How do you make money

We don't. We don't have ads, we don't harvest data and we don't sell anything to anyone. Hosting costs are low and come out of my pocket for now; if it grows, donations may be requested. That's the whole business model.

Can I get my data out

Yes. From Settings you can export a zip file of every moment you're in, with titles, dates, contributions, reactions, and photos, as a browsable HTML archive you can keep offline.
